Meet the team
Dr Martin Cameron BMSc(Hons), MB ChB, MD, MRCOG
Martin grew up in Norfolk and then studied for his undergraduate degrees in medicine and surgery at the University of Dundee, graduating in 1994. He commenced postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1996, culminating in subspecialty training in maternal and fetal medicine at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. He was appointed as Consultant in Fetal Medicine at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in January 2009.
He has a diploma in Obstetric ultrasound from the Royal College of Radiologists and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, has a certificate of specialist training both in O&G and in maternal fetal medicine and is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), British Maternal Fetal Medicine Society (BMFMS) and the International Society Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (ISUOG).
He has been using 3D and 4D ultrasound in his NHS practice since 2005, for instance with families who have a baby with a cleft lip. Since commencing at NNUH Martin was awarded the EDP sponsored Patient Choice award in 2010 and also led a team that were finalists in the maternity section of the 2010 National Patient Safety Awards.
In his spare time away from work Martin has 3 children who keep him very busy.
Mrs Lizzie Hammond
Lizzie is point of contact for enquiries for 3dbabyscans.co.uk and is here to assist you. She works at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital as Martin’s secretary. Lizzie is the winner of a national award from the BSMSA (British Society of Medical Secretaries & Administrators) as Medical Secretary of the Year 2009.
